#THINKB4UINK - Teens and tattoos

Let us not pretend that we didn’t sneak off and get tattoos before we were supposed to. This is a real thing and it is important that it is addressed. We get many requests from parents bringing their teens in for their first tattoo. It is very touching to see parents getting involved and allowing for their kids to be open with them.

We do have a minimum age, and generally try not to tattoo anyone younger than 18. When we do, we require parental consent and we are very picky about what we will tattoo on them.

If you are OK with your teen getting a tattoo, give them the advice that we have all had to learn the hard way. Let them get something small with discreet placement. Every artist and staff member at Fallen Heroes has a tattoo from their youth that is looked upon with regret.Fashion changes, your tastes change and not only that, your body changes quite a bit as you become an adult.

We would go so far as to say if you can talk them into waiting - do it. If not, give them the best advice possible and take them somewhere with great hygiene, great tattoos and make sure they keep up their with their aftercare.

If they are proudly arriving with you, they obviously care about your opinion. So make sure they don’t leave the tattoo shop of your choice with something they are going to regret later.
